Wow! I think since I live here in South Africa, I would use fresh fruits, like Guava, and strawberries, with shortcake! Or for those really hot days a watermelon flavoured ice-cream ……mmm.

I would like to try making mandarin orange ice cream, in admiring imitation of a flavor we got at BR 40 years ago. I think it would benefit from the addition of either toasted blanched almond slices or candied pecans.
