Ordinary apple pie takes on a whole new flavor profile with these crazy delicious Salted Caramel Apple Hand Pies.
Remember last week when I shared this Salted Caramel Sauce?
Well I didn’t just make it to eat by the spoonful. Although yes that is a perfectly acceptable form of consumption! It’s step one in a delicious recipe that I am sharing today over at White Lights on Wednesday.
Sweet, salty caramel sauce coats tart Granny Smith apples inside a soft, flaky pie crust; you’re definitely going to want to stop by and get the recipe. These little beauties are perfect for Thanksgiving; individual desserts are my absolute favorite! I hope you’ll get a chance to try them soon, enjoy and happy baking!
Those have a beautiful golden brown color. Hmmm, that signifies crispy crust. Oh, to take a bite of the crispy crust and soft warm center. Hungry over here!!
Thank you Joanna, they are really yummy!
You had me at salted caramel for reals!
yes! Thanks Jocelyn 🙂
I firmly believe that an apple pie without salted caramel is simply not a real apple pie at all. Plus, pie on the go – heck yes!
I totally agree Amanda!
These hand pies are beautiful!! I’m going over to White Lights to check out the recipe! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Sarah, you’re going to love them
