The refreshing flavors of watermelon and lime combine in this sweet and sour Watermelon Lime Frappe that is perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day.
Just a couple of more weeks until I am due to have this baby and like many pregnant women, watermelon has been at the top of my list these last few months! I can’t seem to eat enough of it. The other day we had dinner with my in-laws to celebrate a birthday and we brought home a fresh, local-grown watermelon. It was quite the beast of a melon, so I decided to get a little creative with some of it.
The perfect combo of sweet and sour make for a very refreshing drink, even our toddler wanted to drink it. I frozen some of the leftovers as popsicles to enjoy after our nightly walks around the block, the temperatures have been in the 80’s all week so far here. Whether you are looking for a quick way to cool down or a tasty way to stay hydrated – I highly recommend whipping together a batch of these frappes, enjoy!

It’s still early for US watermelon, I think most of the watermelon I have bought over the last few months has all been from South America, it isn’t the most ripe either, but when you’re craving it, it will do. thanks for the invite!

Oh man, how have I not heard of this watermelon trend for pregnant women? I’m 8.5 months now, and I haven’t thought of watermelon a single time. Maybe it’s because I haven’t HAD it in a while. This little drink looks so good though – I’m wondering if I can find SOME watermelon around here (you said it’s early in the US). I really want to try this. Immediately.
Thanks for sharing!
