Carrot Apple Mango Puree #FirstBites

Filed Under: Uncategorized Tagged With: apple, baby, baby food, carrot

{I received OXO and OXO Tot products for this post, all opinions are 100% my own}

As a mom of two I have made my fair share of homemade baby food, this Carrot Apple Mango Puree is easy, delicious and perfect for your little ones! #FirstBites

Carrot Apple Mango Puree | It Bakes Me Happy

 I love the color of this puree, my son loves the taste and I do too actually. I have always taste tested every baby food I feed my kids, whether store bought or homemade – I don’t have the heart to feed my babies yucky things!

OXO kindly sent me a fun box filled with goodies so I could cook up a tasty baby food recipe to share today. For most homemade baby food recipes you will need a food mill, I adore the ease of use of the OXO Food Mill and that it comes equipped with 3 different grinding disks (fine, medium and coarse). The Baby Blocks™ Freezer Storage Containers are perfect for the do-it-yourself baby food cook, you can store them in the fridge to use right away or put them in freezer for one of those busy days.

The OXO Tot Divided Feeding Dish has two sides to fill with your babies favorite foods and my favorite thing about it is that it has an awesome lid that you can use to cover and store food. Some days I like to prep lunch in advance, so the lid feature makes it a cinch to keep my sons meal fresh until lunch time.

Now that we’ve reached the over one phase, my little guy loves feeding himself. I try to reign in my mommy control mode and let him go for it! It does get pretty messy, so it should come as no surprise that we are huge fans of the OXO Tot Roll-Up Bib. It’s easy to clean, catches any spills and is lots of fun to wear.

See what I mean…

 Just remember when mealtime is over (or sometimes before) to have a little fun, we enjoyed a quick round of peek-a-boo.

So if you have a baby at home or in your family, I highly recommend cooking up a batch of this Carrot Apple Mango Puree. Even if you don’t have a baby, you can still enjoy this puree in a variety of ways: top a bowl of Greek yogurt with a scoop, throw a bit into your morning smoothie or bake up a batch of morning muffins – I hope you and your little eater(s) will enjoy it as much as we do!

In addition to today’s recipe, you can also enter for a chance to win the same awesome OXO tools I used in my kitchen + an OXO Tot Seedling Highchair. I don’t have any experience with this particular highchair, but we do own the OXO Tot Sprout Highchair and love it! It’s still going strong after two kids and 3 years of meals. My favorite thing about it is the design and that you can remove the feeding tray with one hand, plus it converts into a chair, so you can use it for many years beyond the bib. Enter below for a chance to win, good luck!

    Cute pics! What a great idea to add spices to baby food. I’m usually tossing odds and ends into my baby’s food mill without any regard to taste whatsoever (maybe they’ll hate me later, haha) as long as it’s a healthy combo but have never thought about adding spices. Thanks for the idea, Emily.

      Ha ha, thanks Jelli! I think I was a lot less adventurous on spicing my daughter’s homemade purees, but my son seems to enjoy it more if it has a little more flavor.
