We really like fudge, who doesn’t for that matter? Well we had some really good chocolate fudge and some buckeyes at Christmas, so when I came upon this recipe I just couldn’t get it out of my head! I went to the store specifically to buy marshmallow creme –other than fudge, I have no idea what to do with this stuff! I’ll admit in the past I have been a skeptic of marshmallow creme, but this recipe made me into a believer. So get off the couch or out of your chair (go to the grocery store if you have to) and go make this fudge, trust me you will be glad you did!
Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge
————————————-
Ingredients:
3 c sugar
10 tbs margarine
2/3 c evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla
6 oz semi sweet chocolate pieces
7 oz. jar Marshmallow Creme
1/2 c peanut butter
Directions:
Combine 1 1/2 cups sugar, 5 tablespoons margarine and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in a medium pot. Bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium and continue boiling for 4 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate pieces until melted. Add 1/2 jar marshmallow creme and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Beat until well blended. Pour into greased 13 X 9 pan. Repeat the process substituting peanut butter and spread over the chocolate layer.
It’s going to be hard, but let it cool, it takes a while, so you can put it in the freezer to cool quicker if you just can’t wait! Then slice into squares, it makes quite a bit of fudge, so go ahead and share some.
